The TV industry has been criticised in the past for limiting many jobs and genres to the London area, forcing freelancers to look for work out of their home regions or nations.
Things are changing rapidly though. Alan Clements, CEO of Two Rivers, based in Glasgow, is optimistic. In this video, he talks about the role of production hubs in Leeds, Glasgow, Bristol, Cardiff, Manchester and Birmingham.

Alan Clements set up Two Rivers Media in 2018 and quickly began winning commissions such as Escape to the Chateau: Make Do and Mend (Channel 4), Frankie Boyle Live (BBC Two) and Becoming Scotland (BBC Scotland). Prior to this, he ran STV Productions where they produced Catchphrase (ITV), Antiques Road Trip (BBC One) and Safeword (ITV2 and MTV). He's an honorary professor of politics and media at the University of Glasgow, sits on the board of the Edinburgh TV Festival and is the author of two books including the novel Rogue Nation.
