Venue location

The venue (Soho Place) is in 4 Soho Place, London W1D 3BG, close to Tottenham Court Road station.

Building information and facilities

Lifts:

  • The 5th floor is accessible via 2 lifts on the Ground Floor, enter the building via the main foyer double doors.
  • The lift measurements are 35 inches at narrowest point of lift doorways, 92 inches in length.
  • In the event of an evacuation there are 112 steps down from the 5th There is a handrail for this staircase. Additionally, there is 1 lift that can be used for persons with limited mobility or wheelchair users during an evacuation. The measurements for this lift are: 54.5 inches at narrowest point of lift doorways, 101 inches in length. The narrowest doorway to access this lift is 34 inches in width.

Toilets:

  • On the 5th floor there is one accessible and gender neutral toilet and women’s (6 cubicles) and men’s (1 cubicle, 3 urinals) toilets. On the Ground floor there is one accessible toilet and gender neutral toilet and women’s (6 cubicles) and men’s (2 cubicles, 3 urinals) toilets.
  • The venue has baby changing facilities on site and these are located on the Ground floor. Please ask a member of staff before using.

Quiet space:

A quiet space can be made available upon advance request. Please speak to ScreenSkills staff wearing a bright pink lanyard or a ScreenSkills t-shirt for more information.

Assistance for guide dogs:

  • Assistance for guide dogs: @sohoplace can provide water bowls upon advance request. The nearest green space is the gardens (The Phoenix Garden) behind St Giles in the Fields Church, which is a 2 minute walk from @sohoplace.
  • The venue doesn’t have a hearing aid induction loop.

Flashing lights/ strobe lighting:

Flashing lights / strobe lighting – The building itself does not utilise flashing or strobe lights on the Ground or 5th The neighbouring building ‘Outernet’ does display large flashing advertisement screens.

Wheelchair accessibility:

The venue is accessible for users with a wheelchair. Wheelchair users can use the main building entrance/exit and the entrance/exit at Stage Door. All levels are accessible via lift.
