About

Freelancer in the costume industry since graduating from Costume Design and Making at Nottingham Trent University in 2016. Having initially worked various theatre costume roles including Wardrobe assistant on tour with Mathew Bournes 'The Red Shoes' and Wardrobe Asistant on 'Strictly Ballroom' in the west end I have gone on to gain experience recently with HETV and Film and now looking for Costume Trainee positions.

I am currently able to travel for work contracts, have a clean driving license and use of my own car.

I really enjoy the mix of creative skills and organisation that costume work allows. I thrive in a busy environment where thinking on my feet is required. It is always commented on that I'm calm in hectic situations, which helps greatly in quick changes and when organising a team. I love being part of a team and working along side others to complete a task to reach an end goal.

I have learnt a huge amount in theatre roles and in other freelance wardrobe positions I have had, allowing me to develop my sewing and making skills since having graduated from university. I am also able to make costumes from scratch including pattern drafting and cutting with an understanding of period dress.

Having freelanced since graduating, I have gained good organisation and communication skills, whilst working several jobs at once and all that freelancing requires. I was well prepared for freelancing, having worked part time and been involved in several work experience roles alongside my studies university.
