About
I am Bea and I´m a former Creative Skillset Hair and Makeup Trainee based in London and the north. I am looking for Junior Hair and Makeup positions that will allow me to progress my skills to the next level. For me, makeup is about the art of expressing someone´s beauty in many different ways, from enhancing the natural features to transform yourself into a completely different character.
I completed Hair and Media Makeup and the Production Arts BTEC at the City of Bristol College. During these two years, I have been working in photoshoots, events and fashion shows. I participated in the AHT 1940s Hair and Makeup Competition, awarded with the second position in the South West and competed in the National Finals.
After I finished my training in December 2016 at Bath Academy of Media Makeup (The Peter King Television and Film Hair and Makeup course) I had the opportunity to work as a daily trainee at the crowd room in three feature films, Stan and Ollie, Mary Poppins Returns and The Festival. Thanks to the trainee finder scheme I could get my foot in the door and start working in different main teams as trainee, junior and assistant (Strangers, Fortitude 3, Killing Eve 2, Little Birds, Life and Two Weeks to Live). I also participated as a designer in a few short films (Slate, Katie, Cat in the Box, Legs, BEDLAM, Birthday Party and Hope) and assisted in some others, like The Skin You´re In. I gained experience in a theatre environment while working at the Sweet Charity production in Bath, and worked at the Global Short Films Awards Gala fashion show at the Cannes Film Festival as a member of the BAMM team.
All these amazing opportunities have given me an insight of how a production works, allowing me to get stablish withing the industry and wanting to progress in the UK. I am able to target the needs of the team and always try to be helpful on every level but respecting the boundaries and personal space, being adaptable and positive towards different environments and situations, working well under pressure and out of my comfort zone and learning from every single experience.
