About
Augusta Akerman is a freelance Illustrator and surface pattern designer currently living and working in London. After Graduating from the Glasgow School of Art in 2008 with a BA Hons in Fine Art Photography she has previously worked as a Set Decorator for film and advertising before studying for an MA in Illustration at Camberwell College of Art in 2013.
Since 2014 she has been selected to take part in Creative Oulet, an annual showcase of emerging UAL talent as well as being commissioned by the South London Botanical Institute to produce a bespoke wallpaper. More recently she has completed an artist residency at the London Print Studio and was nominated as a 'One to Watch' in the Homes & Gardens Fabric Awards.
Augusta also teaches 'Drawn to Digital' an illustration short course she has developed for Chelsea Collage of Art in London.
