I am a writer director, who started my own production compnay Nice Productions in 2011. I found my passion for script writing while at university through some inspiring professors. Up until that point in my life the idea of script writing and filmmaking sounded like the dreams of someone living in Hollywood. An unreal dream for a young man from the English countryside. It was not until I received a 1st for my dissertation, a short film about two brothers struggling to come to terms with the death of their mother, that the unreal dream seemed more like a possible reality.

After university I worked hard to break into the industry working as a production assistant on a range of productions from short films to commercials. In every free moment I work on developing my own scripts and have been fortunate enough to direct a couple. I have since gone on to direct a range of artistic and creative projects from the award winning fashion film ‘Command Your Space’ to the short film ‘By Chance’. Thanks to the success of these projects I have directed a range of commercials and music videos. Most recently directing the national advertising campaign for the hugely successful start up Hello Fresh, as well as a music video for pop star Iiris. Through this range of mediums I have learnt so much about the art of filmmaking as well as the business. I now feel perfectly confident that I can pursue my aims to direct more ambitions films. My dream is to further develop my own voice and style and I believe that ‘Home Towards the East’ will be the perfect expression of my artistic ability.
