About
Lesley Posso is a film editor based in London with experience cutting short and feature length projects. Over the past year, she has won the Avid Award for 'Excellence in Editing' as well as the Royal Television Society: Craft Skills Editing Award. Her short films have gone on to win awards at the Annie Awards, Grierson Awards and Royal Television Society Awards, and have also been nominated at the BAFTAs and BIFAs. Lesley has now completed her first feature ‘The Other Fellow’, which will be released later on in the year.
Born in Gibraltar, Lesley began creating films from an early age and always took a particular interest in the editing process. She moved to the UK to study Filmmaking at the Northern Film School, where she graduated with a First Class Honours, winning the Dean’s Prize for Excellence in Film and the Outstanding Editor of the Year award. Lesley is also an Editing alumna of the prestigious National Film and Television School.
As an LGBTQ+ editor, she believes that film is a powerful tool to change people’s perception of the world and aims to be involved in films that push for equality and positive change. Having a good relationship and working closely with her team are extremely important to Lesley, and she believes that the best work comes from strong collaborations.
