About
I am a passioante Costume Designer and Manufacturer, Seamstress and Facilities Management Team Leader based within Glasgow, Scotland.
From a young age I have been involved in theatre and fashion. I attended Saturday workshops at the Scottish Youth Theatre and was lucky enough to audition through SYT for a few minor roles with the BBC. I moved onto the Tron Threate to broaden my acting skills where I had the opportunity to assist in the directing and producing in the workshops own original dramatic productions.
As an accomplished singer and musician/songwriter I was able to gain a performing position with Harlequin Youth Theatre where I performed in nine musical theatre productions. I was a member of Hamilton Operatics and Dramatic Society for 2 years thereafter, performing in "Sister Act" and also helping to Wardrobe Mistress "Me and My Girl".
From April to August I worked in Bridal Alterations at a company called All Sewn Up and in November ventured into the Costume business and began working at That Looks Good Costume Hire. I love working at That Looks Good honing my skills and working on different costumes every day, it ignites a spark of creativity inside me and encourages me to work hard. I recently Wardrobe Mistressed "Priscilla Queen of the Desert" and found it to be the most interactive and exciting experience. I am eager to stay in the Costume business and build a career around it.
As well as working in costumes, I work at City Facilities Management as an Out of Ours Team Leader. I manage my team and make sure they have the resources they need to help pass maintenance calls to our field engineers and provide good customer service to out client.
