I am an established figure in the Edinburgh amateur theatre community, as well as having dabbled in the world of film.
A lot of my work has been writing and directing theatre productions in Edinburgh throughout the year, including at the Fringe Festival. I do this through my own amateur group Aulos Productions, which is dedicated to bringing new writing and ancient classics to the stage and screen. I've won awards and plaudits for my work, including 'Best New Writing' at the Buxton Fringe 2014 for my show 'First Class'.
Running my own production group means being heavily involved in the production side of things outside of the rehearsal room. Publicity, budgeting and scheduling all fall under my remit to produce my work as effectively as possible.
In terms of film, I have been a co-creator, writer & director on two completed web-series: "10 Green Bottles" and "Children of Thebes", both of which were fantastic learning experiences to try out and develop my film production skills.
I've also been involved as an actor in Edinburgh quite frequently, having the fortune to play roles in established plays such as Antonio in 'The Duchess of Malfi', Stanley in 'The Birthday Party' and Harcourt in 'The Country Wife', but also having the opportunity to engage with many new plays by other up-and-coming writers.
I also work in the world of Youth Theatre, leading workshops with local community groups and volunteering with Strange Town Theatre Company by assisting with after-school drama in local schools.
