About
Hi, I'm Anna and I'm obssessed with all things film.
I hail from Spain, via Russia and France, and have a background in photography, journalism and film.
After working on the releases of several films at Pedro Almodovar’s production house El Deseo and managing their digital content, I relocated to London to work in the British Film Institute’s festivals team and delved head-first into the world of film and event programming, working on BFI Flare, BFI London Film Festival.
Straight after that I ran the UK’s largest online filmmaker’s network, Shooting People, working on developing new opportunities for film creatives, developing partnerships with agencies, brands and film organisations and taking take of the marketing for the organisation.
I came back to the BFI to work in their digital marketing team, specifically looking after content creation across all the organisation's digital channels.
This year, I've decided to go back to school and brush on my business skills on the NFTS course in Creative Business for Executives and Entrepreneurs.
Here are some of my current projects as a freelancer:
- Underwire Film Festival: I'm producing the UK's only film festival celebrating female talent across the filmmaking crafts, to be held in Dec 2016 across several cinemas in London. Submissions now open: http://bit.ly/Underwire2016
- Open City Docs: I'm programming the industry events for London's leading documentary film festival.
- The Final Girls: a London-based screening series exploring women in genre film.
- Furiosa Films: consulting on marketing and distribution for independent filmmakers and developing a slate of film projects with emerging talent.
