This session will offer career information and personal insight into the world of celebrity booking. David will discuss what a celebrity booker does, how they do it, the skills required, the challenges they face and the secrets of success. The session will be chaired by Issy Lloyd, a senior talent agent at Insanity Talent Management.

Speakers

David Allberry is a freelance celebrity producer. He has been Head of Talent at Talkback Productions and Magnum Media, and has been booking the biggest names in entertainment for the last 15 years. He has cast award-winning returning series, including Celebrity Island with Bear Grylls, Celebrity Hunted, Celebs Go Dating, The Jump, Celebrity First Dates and Soccer Aid.

Issy Lloyd joined Insanity in 2009. She has been instrumental in signing development clients to the broadcast roster at Insanity, and helping shape the culture of calibration that exists in the business. Insanity is renowned for breaking new and exciting talent, and Issy has been at the forefront of this. She has crafted the careers of Roman Kemp, Maya Jama, Vick Hope and Alice Liveing to name but a few.

This event is supported by the ScreenSkills Television Skills Fund which invests in training for the freelance television workforce thanks to contributions from the BBC, Channel 4 and Channel 5.

It is part of a ScreenSkills programme managed by the Indie Training Fund to support freelancers to upskill and stay connected, helping keep the industry resilient in these difficult times.
