Do you want to step-up and work on live, event, or entertainment television productions? This week-long workshop with experienced live television director Tony Gregory is designed to give an introduction to making and directing live and multi-camera studio shows.

As there are only a limited number of places on these workshops, tickets will be allocated via a ballot system to give all those interested a fair chance to secure a place.

There will be five hour-long sessions, taking place Monday 17th August to Friday 21st August from 10am -11am each day. Please be sure you can commit to attending the full programme before you apply

Applications will close at midnight on Friday 14th August

Who it's for

The session is aimed at people who already work in junior roles in content creation who aspire to work on live, event, or entertainment television productions.

What it covers

The workshop will cover:

  • What is a multi-camera production?

  • Who does what role in the studio?

  • How to communiate in the studio environment

  • Camera shots and staging

  • Show planning tools

  • Plan your own simple show!

Speaker

Tony Gregory is a very experienced live television director, who has trained directors and directed entertainment and music shows and award-shows for many years in the UK and across Europe.

This event is supported by the ScreenSkills Television Skills Fund which invests in training for the freelance television workforce thanks to contributions from the BBC, Channel 4 and Channel 5.

It is part of a ScreenSkills programme managed by the Indie Training Fund to support freelancers to upskill and stay connected, helping keep the industry resilient in these difficult times.
