Aimed at experienced heads of department working in High End TV and Film, these workshops include a practical opportunity to shoot a scene in the state-of-the-art LED Volume at the ARRI Stage London.

There are many ways the latest virtual production technologies can help solve problems in production on HETV and Film. Whether to aid budgeting hundreds of VFX shots, solve scheduling problems or enable shooting in impossible locations, there is a virtual production technique ‘for that’. However there are few opportunities for experienced practicing professionals to try out virtual production in a high-end stage and with an experienced crew.

These Taster Days are designed to give a production focussed and practical experience of working in a virtual production LED stage, with a particular emphasis on how the technology can help with drama/dialog scenes, or capture performances in challenging locations. By shooting a real scene in the LED Stage, and using a variety of photo-realistic virtual locations created by the Worldbuilders team at Final Pixel, participants will gain practical insight of how the technology could be employed on their future productions.

Operated by an experienced virtual production crew from Final Pixel, ARRI Stage and Creative Technology, and led by industry thought leaders, the sessions aim to give practicing Cinematographers, Production Designers, Art Directors, Line Producers, 1st ADs, Directors & Producers a hands-on VP shoot experience, and to demystify how the technology could be leveraged on their next projects.
