About
I am a costume Assistant based in London but willing to travel - I have a clean driving licence and own a car.
After completing a degree in fashion design I worked in the fashion industry for 5 years – although I gained lots of great skills in sewing, fittings and alterations; sitting at a desk wasn’t for me. Once I had built up the courage I quit my job to follow my dream of working in costume and it has been the best decision I have ever made which is reflected in my attitude when on a job.
Starting from the bottom isn’t easy but after volunteering on multiple student films and doing a few work placements at theatres I managed to secure some great roles and have met some lovely people along the way. My most recent roles have included costume supervising ‘The Woman in White’ at Charing Cross Theatre, costume making for ‘Cinderella’ at Hackney Empire and assisting the costume designers on small budget films ‘Game Over’ and ‘Together’.
I am enthusiastic, eager to learn and very hard working. I am great at working under pressure, staying positive and focussing on the task at hand – even after a 13 hour day. I look forward to the new challenges I may face in the future whilst pursuing a career in costume for TV and will bring my passion and drive to any task to ensure it is completed to a high standard.
