I'm a freelance theatre director and actor, currently based in Liverpool, and I'm interested in telling stories that remind us we're alive.

I trained on the BA Acting Course at LIPA, and my work includes directing, assistant directing, voice & text coaching, facilitation, and performing. I'm particularly interested in new writing, site specific work, verbatim theatre, and new forms of performance. I'm also a total geek when it comes to the voice and language and Shakespeare.

I believe in collaboration and I believe in stories. The power of being told a story, and of telling your story. I think stories can transform people and communities, and I'm excited about the ways that professional and community theatre are currently blurring and colliding.

I regularly direct new writing for Manchester ADP, and run classes for professional actors in Liverpool. I've also taught at ICAT and the Institute of the Arts, Barcelona. I'm respresented as an actor by RbA Management.

I'm an Associate Director for Mighty Heart Theatre, and created and directed two bold, playful verbatim projects with them, When I Feel Like Crap I Google Kim Kardashian Fat, and What's The Matter With You. When I Feel Like Crap... is currently showing in Edinburgh as part of the PBH Free Fringe, at Venue 444, 16:40pm daily (not Tues). Come along!

Most recently, I worked with the Everyman Theatre to develop and direct The Stranger's Case, a collaboration between 19 local artists as a response to the refugee crisis, and you can find out a little more about it here:
