The Select Sessions are a series of online employability training sessions for students studying on ScreenSkills Select endorsed courses. They provide you with professional advice on a range of topics direct from industry and focus on supporting you to gain the best opportunity for a successful career in the screen industries.
ScreenSkills has a series of e-learning modules on Getting into the screen industries which are a prerequisite for attending any Select Session event.

This online session is for ScreenSkills Select/RTS Scotland students interested in careers in film & TV.
What it covers
Join us for this ScreenSkills Select industry insight webinar in partnership with RTS Scotland where an expert panel will take a deep dive in to the TV production office. Hear how the doors opened for individuals and learn about the roles they currently work in such as production assistant, production secretary, production accountant, production coordinator and production manager.
The panel for this event is made up of staff at various levels in the production office department, all with insight and knowledge about how to effectively work on TV shows, how to manage budget and production schedules and how to work collaboratively with other TV departments.
The webinar will be facilitated by Kate Cotter, Programme Leader for BA (Hons) Broadcast Production: TV and Radio course at the University of the West of Scotland (UWS).
