About
Christos is a writer/director based in the UK.
He was recently placed on the BBC Writersroom list of promising writers. Film scripts include projects reaching the finals stages of ScreenCraft Drama & Fellowship categories, The CineStory Foundation Fellowship and being shortlisted for the Nantucket Screenwriters Colony. His latest short film ‘Blood’ premiered at Edinburgh International Film Festival 2019. Shot on a shoestring budget in England’s oldest boxing gym it starred first time actor (and real life boxing teenage champion) Sonny Hardy, Laurence Olivier Award winner Katie Brayben and Ian Charleson Award nominee Elliot Barnes-Worrell.
A self-taught filmmaker and marine biology graduate, Christos travelled the world working in dive exploration and underwater camerawork. He co-founded boutique production company Craven Street, where he produced various content and short films, as well as the feature film ‘Astral’ starring Frank Dillane ('Fear the Walking Dead') and Damson Idris ('Farming', 'Snowfall'), which was nominated for the Chris Brinker Award at the San Diego International Film Festival.
Christos now focuses on screenwriting and directing. His next project ‘Doggie’ is set in the world of East London gangs. He also loves wandering with his stills camera, shooting street photography.
