About

Alys is currently developing a TV sitcom (under option) with Hartswood Films, as well as a short form comedy with production company Merman. Her short film Remnants won the main award for ‘Best Film’ in the International 100 Film Racing competition, as well as the ‘Best Writing’ award. It was showcased as part of the 2017 London Short Film Festival.

Her theatre work includes Unearthed (Arcola Theatre, UK Tour), which was chosen of one of the Guardian Readers’ Favourite plays of 2015 and Reel Life (St James Theatre, Ustinov Studio).

She is the Co-Artistic Director of Viscera Theatre (In Tents and Purposes, SOHO Theatre + UK Tour), whose patron is playwright Nick Payne.

She trained under the Royal Court Young Writers and the Criterion New Writing programmes.

Currently working on new play with support of Peggy Ramsay Foundation.
