About
Alice is a freelance journalist, scriptwriter and playwright. Her work has been optioned by various companies including the BBC, while she has been a finalist in numerous contests including Matt Damon's Project Greenlight, Austin TV & Film Festival, Final Draft's Big Break and the Writers Store Industry Insiders TV pilot contest. Last year, she was selected for the Belgrade Theatre's Critical Mass programme and her play Christians Don't Wear Thongs received a performed reading at Barking Theatre. In 2015, Women In Film in Los Angeles selected her for a mentoring programme. She studied scriptwriting at the University of California in Los Angeles's prestigious Film & Television department and the University of the Arts in London.
She is a versatile and prolific writer who works across different forms and genres, including short stories and novels. Her background is in journalism and she has worked for various newspapers, magazines and websites including the Financial Times, the News of the World, She Caribbean Magazine and Yahoo!.
