About
Glasgow/Edinburgh based Music MA (Hons) graduate with a full UK driving licence and practical experience on-set and in a production office environment. Looking to advance a career with the film and television industry specifically within the production department. Currently developing experience working with a production environment as a production assistant for a factual television company in Glasgow.
Following a year spent studying abroad at Radford University (USA) I spent the summer of 2015 based in Los Angeles developing skills in online marketing, public relations, radio broadcasting, audio editing and stage management through positions in the Hollywood area. I am adaptable to office environments, having held a recent position as advertising manager for student media.
Most recently I have been involved in a 4-week practical training scheme named JUMPCUT in liaison with Film City Futures and Sigma Films for which I was mentored in the role of production manager. The scheme also involved a week of training delivered by film and TV professionals, giving me an excellent insight into the industry as a whole.
I have held a full, UK driving licence since August 2014. I am a confident driver having travelled to 29 U.S. states by car with experience driving automatic, manual and larger vehicles.
Through combining my work ethic with my eagerness to learn I have been able to thrive in previous positions. I would love the opportunity to apply the same level of commitment, alongside my academic and professional background, to develop a more extensive working knowledge of the film and television industry.
