Hello! My names Josie and I'm a Hair & Makeup Artist, wishing to pursue a career in High End Television production.

My two great pleasure’s in life have always been storytelling and art, which developed into my obsession with TV drama and my love of painting, makeup and character creation. I trained at The Bath Academy of Media Makeup where I completed the Peter Swords King intensive course, and prior to that I completed a Fine Art Degree (2.1) at the University of Leeds. Since my course that finished in December 2016, I've been actively seeking as much work experience as possible; I've worked as a Crowd Dailies Hair & Makeup Trainee on Mary Poppins Returns and Belgravia a new ITV Period Drama in July '19. These were incredible opportunities, that confirmed to me that this career was really suited to me, and that my skills and personality would lend itself well to the challenges of the industry. I’ve additionally been a makeup artist for various short films, music videos and a feature film, including shorts backed by Channel 4, BFI, Creative England and Sky Arts, the latter which was broadcast on Sky Arts and streamed on Now TV. To increase my skills as a trainee I also completed an HND certificate in Prosthetics and Sculpting at Creative Media Skills and completed a partial NVQ Barbering Course, which included cutting, styling and beard work. 

I'm a calm, thoughtful, proactive and reliable makeup artist, who will travel to wherever the work takes me as I actively seek a trainee position, and would love to hear from anyone who needs assistance in the industry on future projects.
