About
Aurora is a writer/director, a visual storyteller inspired by science, myths and psychology.
She graduated The Northern Film School with a First BA Degree. Aurora started postproduction company LITTLE NORTHERN LIGHT and co-founded Production Company LEFT EYE BLIND, through which she directed promos and commercials. While signed to ACADEMY FILMS Aurora won the EPIC award and co-directed short film LIFE ON THE LINE.
Through Vision + Media with UKFC funding Aurora directed her first short SHADES OF LIVING. The film screened at numerous festivals before signing to Shorts International. Her short DANIEL premièred at Edinburgh, as a Nokia Shorts competition winner.
Aurora shot sci-fi short film PULSAR starring David Gyasi (Interstellar) by winning 25K through The Pitch. Chosen for the ALEXA Challenge, she recently completed MURMUR with support from DIRECTORS UK in partnership with ARRI.
Franc Roddam mentored Aurora through the Women in Film and TV’s 2014 scheme. She is developing feature films through various Skillset schemes including VFX Script to Screen, Birds Eye View’s FILMONOMICS, 104 Film’s Digital Revolutionaries, Screen Yorkshire’s Triangle and Elevator.
