Art Department / Freelance Spanish Translator

  • Location: Bristol
  • Career stage: Entry
  • Freelancer: Available

Hi there! I am looking for people to collaborate with. Do you need someone to work in your art department? Get in touch!

I am currently working towards building my experience in the Art Department. I developed my interest in Production Design after completing my GCSE Film and Photography, I later realised after studying a Foundation Diploma in Art and Design that one of the ways Art and Film merges is in the area of Art Department. I am now persuing this path.

I also work as a freelance TV Spanish Translator and Transcriber for documentaries and news.

I took part in the BFI Academy for Documentary Filmmaking in Bristol in 2017/18. I was the Producer and co-Director for a 5 minute documentary about social inequality in North Bristol.

I have undertaken work experience at the BBC Current Affairs which served me to realise that I am interested in both Factual and Drama however Drama allows more scope for me to be creative and it suits my way of thinking better.

I have most recently worked on a Bristol Old Vic Theatre School project. I was in charge of set dressing and prop continuity.

I am currently working on a short film about two Japanese brothers who come to the UK seeking a better life. My role is of Art Director and Casting Assistant. Duties include location scouting, prop sourcing and buying, costume, managing the budget, setting the 'look' of the film and special effects (fake mould and frost).

I was succesful in gainging a mentorship with BFI and BAFTA for Production Design with Production Designer Jacqueline Abrahams.
