About
I'm a director and writer with wide ranging experience in theatre, looking to move into directing for TV.
I've been a BBC Performing Arts Fellow, a Resident Director at the Almeida Theatre, Director in Residence at Tobacco Factory Theatres, a Jerwood Assistant Director at the Young Vic and an Assistant Director at the Royal Shakespeare Company. As a writer I trained on the Royal Cout's Young Writers' programme. I most recently worked on Kunene and the King, written by and starring John Kani alongside Antony Sher.
My work as a director has toured extensively in the UK and internationally. Work includes running a company, Bucket Club, whose shows have won multiple awards. Fossils, which I wrote and directed, transferred to the Brits Off Broadway festival in New York in 2017. I've developed new plays with writers including Sabrina Mahfouz, Chris Goode and Marietta Kirkbride.
Work in actor training includes directing students at Bristol Old Vic, Drama Studio London and Central School of Speech and Drama.
