About
I am a writer living in Cornwall. I am currently working on a novel, an early draft of which got me accepted into the selective-entry Curtis Brown Creative Novel Writing course. This finished in March 2020, and I have been thrilled to stay in touch with my course mates and to be able to continue workshopping our writing together.
Prior to this I wrote, produced, and directed a parody musical called The Miserables which was staged at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2016 and went on to win an award for Best Comedy.
I have had material selected to be used in multiple series of Newsjack on BBC Radio 4 Extra, and have also had work in Mslexia magazine.
In my 'real' life I work full time in ecommerce for a clothing retailer in Cornwall. I moved to Cornwall from London three years ago to chase the twin dreams of living near the sea and being able to afford things. However, since moving away from London I have become painfully aware of the lack of opportunities for those who do not live in big cities.
