About
The Television industry is excelling in creativity, ambition and visual depth. This opens up a whole world of creative imagination and design potential and, as an art department assistant, I can’t wait to get involved in these projects.
I am particularly interested in scenic construction, and working closely with the Art Director in order to deveop my understanding and skills within this field. However, I have most recently been involved in prop making, as well as assiting with TV graphics, both of which I have found exteremly exciting and rewarding.
Spending a great deal of time on set has also meant that I've been able to see the many elements of the art department come together and flourish into a complete vision. I think this is incredibly important to witness; it allows for an evaluation to be made of the overall design, and also a fuller understanding of the creative and technical processes leading up to the completed production design.
