About
I am a London based animation director and graphic artist, recent animation MA graduate from The Royal College of Art. Previous to the RCA I worked extensively as an art director on independent shorts and later as art department assistant on large-scale productions such as Joe Wright’s Anna Karenina, Sam Mendes’ Skyfall and most recently, Rob Marshall’s Into the Woods where I worked under the direction of the Oscar-winning production designer, Dennis Gassner from whom I learnt the mechanics of film design. In 2014 I began a two-year post-graduate course at The Royal College of Art in illustration and graphic design during which I had illustration work published in the ‘Graphic Canon of Children’s Literature’ and I self-published the magazine, ‘Modern Times’- a collation of ‘graphic journalism’ from emerging and established journalists, designers and photographers. My background in film design led me to switch to the Animation course and produce my first animated film, ‘No Space Like Home.' Since graduation, I have worked as an assistant animator and colourist on Beyond the Counterpane an animated short directed by Howard Blake, and as a concept artist for New Planet Film and Media.
