About

Alex Shipman is a filmmaker, BFI Film Academy and NFTS Craft Skills Residential Alumni. After her course she went on to work as an Production Assistant and Floor Runner for companies such as BBC, Sky Arts, ITV, Freemantle Media and Dave. She also completed a short contract as Director's Personal Assistant on Jack Reacher 'Never Go Back' (Paramount Pictures). She quickly moved into the camera department, working as an camera operator and assistant on productions such as Star Wars: Ep.09, Emma (2020), Dr Dolittle, Harry Potter Studio Tour wizarding events, and Channel 4's True Horror Ep.02 to name a few. In addition, Alex directs documentaries and music video's. Her first short doc 'Bam Bam' was selected and screened at festivals in London, LA, Seattle, Norway, Croatia and on the British television channel 'London Live'. She has just completed the feature length version in April 2020.
