Reeta is an award-winning picture editor and colourist. Having started her career in the Finnish TV industry in 2007, she graduated with a BA (Hons) in Film and Television Production from Cambridge School of Art in 2013. Her post-production expertise and experience consist of short and long-form projects, ranging from feature films, short fiction, music videos and performance pieces to promos, brand films, documentaries and high-end campaigns, with a variety of practical knowledge working in drama and broadcast television honed over the course of 10+ years in commercial and independent filmmaking.
Reeta’s headline achievements include editing the upcoming independent feature film Drive Me to the End and BFI-funded short film Lost Land Girl. She has just been signed on as picture editor on the sci-fi thriller Beneath. She also cut Untethered for Channel 4’s Random Acts commission and completed various post-production work on feature films Mrs. Lowry And Son, Starfish, The More You Ignore Me and Rise of the Footsoldier 3. Reeta edited and colour graded horror comedy Toll Booth which won 7 awards on its festival run, as well as being selected to screen at the BAFTA-qualifying Leeds Film Festival. Her other works have been screened at the likes of Los Angeles Cine-Fest, Shriekfest LA, Norwich Film Festival, Cambridge Film Festival and Berlin Feminist Film Week.
Reeta has a full editing suite at her media studio in Cambridge, England. Her creative ambition is to make powerful, meaningful and imaginative work that challenges and inspires to look at conventional perspectives and narratives in a new light.
