I’m a Teesside University Character Animation grad currently working as a Games Artist on Magic: The Gathering, the online games. I value curiosity, strong wi-fi, sweaters and large mugs of cinnamon tea.

My main animation tool is Autodesk Maya but I also feel right at home in Photoshop, since I also enjoy illustrative art and have been teaching myself to draw digitally since I got my hands on my first shiny Wacom in 2012. Thanks to the Uni’s facilities I’m also familiar with industry standard motion capture, 3D scanning, green screen and recording studio equipment.

Throughout Uni, teamwork has taught me most about the importance of clear communication and the correct way to receive and implement feedback on my animation. I’ve also produced and directed team projects, where I learned the importance of thinking ahead and how to have a healthy work ethic.

In my spare time I've been part of the University Film Production Society Committee, where I gained live action filmmaking, video editing and crew management experience. I’ve also worked closely with tutors and students on the Visual Effects course at Teesside which contributed to my knowledge of compositing software like After Effects and Nuke.

I've also learned a lot from the industry professionals I’ve met by working as a staff volunteer at the Animex International Games & Animation Festival. Luckily, this then led to joining Disney animator Dan Lund’s short film “Aria for a Cow” as an Animator in 2014.
