Daniel Mercieca

Production Assistant at Wimbledon BookFest

  • Location: London
  • Career stage: Entry
  • Freelancer: Available

I am freeance film critic and production assistant for Wimbledon BookFest seeking entry-level positions as an in-house development assistant for high-end television, aspiting to become a script editor. Having graduated with first class degrees in English Literature (BA) from Durham University and in Film Aesthetics (MSt) from Oxford University, I am passionate about writing creatively and critically. Producing and hosting interviews for 3 commercial videos featuring children's authors including Malorie Blackman (OBE), Cressida Cowell (Children's Laureate) and Terry Deary (Horrible Histories), has inspired me to learn more about television production.

My 7 years of experience as a lifeguard and Wimbledon men's dressing room attendant for the All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC) has benefitted me with health and safety qualifications, vigilance and  a strong sense of responsibility.
