About
William is a versatile scriptwriter for film and television with credits in children’s television and adult drama, including extensive experience of writing and directing productions featuring British Sign Language, and consultancy on flagship programmes such as Dr Who and Casualty. He also has 20 years of experience in television production as a director, script writer, script editor and Series Producer.
William is currently supported as a writer by 4Screenwriting, BFI Network South West, Arts Council England and The Literary Consultancy, and has written for production companies including Slick Films (The Silent Child), Mackinnon and Saunders (Postman Pat) and Rollo Productions.
Several of his films are preserved for posterity on the BFI Archive, but William is writing stories that lift the lid on the uncanny, the uncomfortable, and the unusual - as well as giving voice to people we don’t usually see on screen.
