My name is Hayley and I’m a ScreenSkills Hair and Makeup Trainee 2018 - 2019 based in Manchester.

I graduated in June 2017 from The Manchester College with a First Class honours degree in Special Effects Makeup. Previous to this I studied at The London College of Fashion and graduated with a Foundation Degree in Specialist Makeup Design (Film & TV Image). Originally when leaving school, I trained and worked as a hairstylist which I have found to be invaluable to gaining any work experience. I have a full drivers licence, my own transport, enhanced DBS certified and valid UK passport.

I am at hardworking and proactive individual who has some work experience in; Feature Film, HETV Drama, Short Film, Music Videos, Commercials and Live Events. In my role as a Hair and Makeup Trainee, I've spent time assisting in the smooth running of the makeup team, providing hair and makeup for main and supporting cast with experience of continuity record keeping, maintaining the product levels and responsible for assuring the set bags and work stations are always clean, tidy and set up accordingly.

In addition to my work experience I have also recently completed training at Creative Media Skills, with Rupert Simon, Anita Burger and Danny Marie Elias in; Bespoke Period Hair, Fitting, Dressing and Applying Wigs, SFX Makeup and Prosthetics. These courses have greatly improved my confidence and finesse in these specific areas and have fuelled my enthusiasm to continue investing in my craft, pushing myself further and refining my skills.
