About
Janet Marrett is founder of Mediathirsty (mediathirsty.co.uk), an award-winning writer director of independent films.
Her work has had many international screenings, including Cannes Court Métrage, BAFTA-qualifying Aesthetica and British Urban festivals.
She recently completed BFI funded short RETURNED, starring Michelle Greenidge as psychologist Zoe, who attempts to conceal her past until she is forced to confront it.
Janet is a Directors UK and BAFTA Connect member, a BFI NETWORK x BAFTA CREW 2022 alumnus and 2022 Center Frame shortlisted director particularly passionate about re-presenting diverse ethnicity narratives on screen.
