About
My debut feature Jellyfish had its World Premiere at Tribeca Film Festival in April 2018 and its European Premiere at Edinburgh International Film Festival, where stars Liv Hill and Sinéad Matthews won the prestigious Best Performance award. At France’s Dinard Film Festival Jellyfish won Best Film, Best Screenplay, the Critics’ Award and the inaugural Best Performance Award. It was theatrically released in the UK in 2019, garnering favourable reviews in the FT, Evening Standard and, weirdly, The Sun.
Jellyfish was BIFA longlisted for Debut Screenwriting.
My joint-first feature Above The Clouds had its World Premiere at Raindance Film Festival and its International Premiere in competition at the Austin Film Festival 2018. It was released worldwide on VOD by Gravitas in 2020.
My short screenplay On The Beaches, about Albert Einstein’s time in hiding in Norfolk, won the Pears Short Film Fund in 2019, and was produced as a short film directed by Luke Rogers, and starring Bella Ramsey (Game of Thrones, Judy).
I have previously participated in Edinburgh Film Festival’s Talent Lab (2015) and Connections mentoring scheme (2016) as well as on their Wellcome Trust-funded IdeasLab scheme connecting writers with scientific researchers. I was on BAFTA Crew in 2017 and on BIFA's Emerging Filmmakers Scheme 2020.
I was born in the UK but grew up in Paris, before studying English at Oxford. I currently live in London. I have previously worked in academic publishing and events, including programming the UK’s first philosophy festival.
