About

Jay Finlayson was born on May 26, 1994, as Jay George Finlayson, Jay is an aspiring cinematographer (Director of Photography) driven by a worrying Coffee Addiction. Jay started off working professionally as a photographer changing his career aspects after realizing that photography wasn't as fulfilling as he first thought. With a passion for film and inspired by Andrew Lesnie (Lord of The Rings), Dion Beebe (Chicago) and Jack Cardiff (The Great Mr.Handel - 1942) Jay Finlayson set out to make his name as a Cinematographer attending Northumbria University to study Film & TV Production. (2016-2019). Jay Finlayson is best knowing as an SA Artist in series like CBBC The Dumping Ground, CBBC Wolfblood, ITV Vera and recently Netflix's Frontier.
