Carl is a London-based British-Ghanaian writer and director. Under his middle name Papa-Kwesi, he has written and directed his most recent short film ‘Arachnid' in Ghana, produced in conjunction with Africa Film Society ('The Burial of Kojo', Netflix).
His longstanding passion for film and storytelling has been illustrated in his work, having written and produced a TVC, and directed branded content, documentary films, dance films, fashion films and music promos, which have been featured in international online publications. His directing work has earned him recognition on the film festival circuit, with short films he has produced and directed earning official selections, while also being an associate producer on the feature film 'Lie Low' (Amazon Prime).
His aim is to tell emotive, character-driven, socially conscious stories with compelling high concepts, highlighting, in particular, stories around the African diaspora.
Carl runs his small independent production company Little Boffin Films in London and is a director at the London based film company The Keep Productions.
