About
Hello my name is James Macdonald. I am a 23 year old drama graduate with BBC production experience, who is eager to gain experience as a post-production runner in television entertainment and commericals. Much like some of my favourite shows, such as "The Graham Norton Show" and "Alan Carr's Chatty Man", my aptitude to producing fresh and innovative ideas will unquestionably keep team morale high and buoyed with enthusiasm!
Whilst working as a Team Assistant for BBC Radio 2's Children in Need event I gained invaluable production and ad hoc experience. It was my responsibility to check the legitimacy of callers who were bidding on Chris Evan’s BBC Breakfast Show CIN Auction packages, set up office stationery, telephone lines and camera live feed equipment, welcome visitors at reception and answer emails in Broadcasting House. This highlights my aptitude to establish effective working relationships with the general public and individuals of varying levels of seniority in a confident and professional manner, and assemble technical equipment in an office environment.
Nevertheless, whilst staging performances at The Mumford Theatre and The Cambridge Junction I gained a vast amount of technical experience. This is because I learnt how to coherently operate a variety of different film, music and lighting sotware, such as Audacity, GarageBand, Windows Movie Maker and DMX - ideal technical skills for assisting post-production.
Thank you for taking the time to check out my profile and I look forward to making you a toasty cuppa soon.
