I’m Kelly, a Playwright and occasional Performer based in Cardiff. Originally a Dagenham girl, I’ve lived in Wales since 2007. I moved here to study the final year of my degree at Swansea Met and never went back. My course was mainly performance based but after graduating I realised this wasn’t something I wanted to do, so I began writing. I took part in various writing initiatives to hone my craft and develop my voice.

In 2013 I decided to leave my full time job to go full time freelance.  Since then I have won the Wales Drama Award with a play of mine called TAMMY. I am represented by Nick Quinn at The Agency and currently under commision with National Theatre Wales, Oran Mor, Sherman theatre and BBC Wales. 

I have recently completed an 8week writers Program at the Sherman with Brad Birch
