About
I trained as an actor at Arts Educational schools on their 3 Yr Acting Trianing course. I then went on to achieve a distinction in my MA Applied Theatre at Royal Central School of Speech & Drama.
I have worked extenisvely as a Director, Youth Arts Pracitioner and Actor. I specialise in directing and developing new writing, but I am also an experienced deviser. In 2014 I started my company, The Thelmas, which was set up in order to discover and develop female writers and theatre makers. We have so far mounted two full-length shows in London and at Brighton Fringe, and returned to the Camden Fringe with our second edition of our female monologue show, Ladylogue! at the Tristan Bates this August.
As a Theatre Practitioner I specialise in working with marginalised and hard-to-reach groups, particularly with excluded and vulnerable young people. I have worked on projects with orgnisastions as diverse as Old Vic New Voices, Lyric Hammersmith, HMPYOI Feltham, HMP The Mount, Rideout, Roundhouse, Tricycle Theatre, Music in Prisons, Royal Philarmonic Orchestra, The Challenge, Shakespeare Schools Festival.
I am currently the Programme Manager for our universal work and Pracitioner for targetted work at Westminster based youth arts charity, DreamArts.
