Reviewed as both "an actor of tremendous depth, subtlety, and animal physicality" and "one of Ireland's foremost young actors", Amanda Doherty trained at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, London and Lucid Body House, New York. She recently represented Ireland at the Biennial of Emerging Arts, Bucharest, where she premièred her production "Eist Moran// Can Beagan" [Hear Much//Say Little]. Further recent performances include her solo show 'Inheritance', one of this year's Festival Award winners at the Stockholm Fringe Festival. 'Inheritance' previously ran at Theatre Row, New York where it was nominated for the Audience Award with Backstage Magazine, having been a final nominee for the Digital Culture Award with the DANI's following it's première in Ireland. Additional credits include The Fall, Scúp (BBC), Diablo, Highly Efficient (The Lyric Theatre, Belfast) and the title role in Hedda Gabler (Resonance FM, London).
