Congratulations to all winners at the 2021 Bafta Film Awards, especially The Father and Rocks who have supported training current and future workforce by contributing to the ScreenSkills Film Skills Fund.

The Father received the adapted screenplay award and Anthony Hopkins won in the leading actor category. Rocks went home with the casting award and its lead actress Bukky Bakray won the rising star award.

The other Skills Fund-contributing productions that were in the running for honours were Saint Maud, Mogul Mowgli, Limbo, The Midnight Sky and Ammonite.

Studios and production companies producing films in the UK are encouraged to contribute 0.5% of their core UK expenditure up to a cap of £61,000 per production (£58,200 last year), into the Film Skills Fund which is managed by ScreenSkills. Thanks to these contributions, ScreenSkills can invest in training to futureproof the industry and bridge skills gaps and shortages.
