A string of high-end television productions that have contributed to the HETV Skills Fund have been nominated for Primetime Emmy Awards.
With 24 nominations, The Crown is one of the leading contenders at the 73rd edition of the award show. It will go head-to-head with fellow Skills Fund contributor Bridgerton in the best drama series category. Other Emmys for which it is in the running include the sound mixing, period costumes and single camera editing awards.
Bridgerton is nominated in 12 categories, including period and/or character hair styling and music composition. It will also compete with Ted Lasso – which received 20 nominations – for the production design for a narrative period or fantasy programme and original main title theme music awards.
Winners will be announced on 19 September in Los Angeles.
