Creative Diversity Network (CDN), the cross-industry body leading the work to increase diversity on and off-screen in UK television, and ScreenSkills have announced a strategic partnership.
The tie-up underlines both organisations’ ongoing commitment to increasing and improving the diversity of casts and crews across the UK’s screen industries and marks a significant step towards further improving the sector’s diversity and representation by ensuring that everyone has fair and equal opportunity to progress their careers.
The partnership will see CDN and ScreenSkills collaborating on areas such as how the data gathered by CDN’s Diamond diversity monitoring and reporting tool can be used to help inform the training and development programmes that ScreenSkills commissions from training providers.
Diamond is currently evolving with the goal of delivering extensive improvements to all users and CDN wants to hear from you about your experiences of using Diamond and the changes you’d like to see.
Over the past seven years it has provided benchmark reports on UK television’s diversity landscape, with over 7.5 million contributions from the freelance community. This has influenced the strategic thinking of industry leaders when it comes to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
Your experiences and recommendations will provide crucial insights that will ultimately help shape the design and adaptations made to Diamond.
