We are delighted that so many productions that paid into our Skills Funds – supporting training for the industry – are in the running for awards at the 2021 BAFTA Television and Television Craft Awards.

The annual ceremonies will take place on Monday 24 May for television craft and Sunday 6 June for television.

The ScreenSkills High-end TV Skills Fund is again supporting the vital work of crew in production by sponsoring the photography and lighting: fiction craft award. Skills Fund contributors Small Axe, Devs and Little Birds will go head-to-head in the category.

With 15 nominations, Small Axe is a top contender for honours. It will compete against I May Destroy You and Adult Material for the best mini-series award and has also received nominations in several craft categories including hair and make-up, production design and costume design.

The Crown is in the running for 10 awards, I May Destroy You for eight, closely followed by Sex Education which has been nominated six times.

Television Skills Fund-contributors BBC, Channel 4 and ITV will also be well-represented at both ceremonies with nominations for productions including The Ranganation, Strictly Come Dancing and Gogglebox.

We want to congratulate all nominated productions and broadcasters, and thank all for their contributions to our skills funds:
