The Animation Skills Fund has this year developed a pledge to recognise our commitment to supporting animation and the industry’s endorsement of the importance of skills and training.

Following discussions with supporters, nine production companies have already signed up, pledging to contribute to the Animation Skills Fund. In exchange, ScreenSkills commits to:

  • delivering effective training and support programmes to ensure a skilled animation workforce
  • awarding ScreenSkills Select endorsement to industry-relevant courses
  • enabling animation professionals to access the ScreenSkills mentoring network and ScreenSkills bursaries
  • creating careers resources to inspire young people to consider careers in animation
  • lobbying on behalf of industry with policy makers.

We would like to thank Blue Zoo Productions, CANUK Productions, Cloth Cat Animation, Jellyfish Pictures, Lupus Films, Red and Blue Productions, Red Kite Animation, Three Stones Media and Wildseed Studios for signing the pledge so far and hope more support will follow so we can improve our industry together.

Thanks also to the ScreenSkills Film Skills Fund which has supported the development of the animation pledge.
