Hello, I am Jo and I am a creative and passionate Makeup Assistant/Supervisor. I have a full uk driving license, own transport, and willingness to travel.

I bring drive, adaptability and a great work ethic to every job along with a keen eye for detail. I am perceptive when working with others, and I make a great tea or coffee when it’s needed! (A cuppa is the answer to everything!). I have the ability to use my own initiative and can work independently when required, and most of all I bring life experience.

My extensive Hairdressing background has not only provided me with proficiency in hairstyling, colouring and cutting, but also strong communication and interpersonal skills. The Makeup and creative side of me has been nurtured through the study of Media Makeup, and Art and Design, which translates in the hair and makeup I produce. Studying Makeup to foundation degree level, enabled me to continue to develop the fundamental skills required of a Hair and Makeup Assistant. I am not afraid to get my hands dirty, am raring to thrive in a career I adore and want to make the most of every opportunity.

I have experience in Television hair and makeup and have been promoted to Assistant Makeup Artist and have stepped up to supervise whilst working at Emmerdale. I have also been a Makeup Supervisor on a High-End television Drama and have also been additional help on dramas such as ‘Last Tango in Halifax’ making up principle artists. I have a solid understanding of continuity and have prepped and broken down scripts. I bring enthusiasm to everything I do, and hope that with hard work, I will continue to be successful in a career I have worked towards for a long time. I always look forward to meeting and learning from talented people along the way. I am just seeking the opportunities to showcase what I have to offer, do the job that I love and hopefully have plenty of laughs along the way.
