Freelance Shooting PD
I work as a freelance shooting PD and recent projects include factual series Llinell Las (The Blue Line) on S4C which involves filming alone with various units North Wales Police on their shifts over the past year. Contracts have included filming for ‘Ysbyty Plant’ (Children’r Hospital) on S4C, ‘Pwy di Boss y Gegin’ multi studio camera cooking gameshow and as a camera assistant for drama ‘Rownd a Rownd’. Documentary self-shooting assistant producer contracts include a one-off current affairs special on S4C called ‘Newyddion Arbennig: Achub ar y Mynydd’ (Special News: Rescue on the Mountain) about the disbanding RAF helicopter rescue team. I was also contracted as a shooting AP and main camera operator to film ‘Countryside Cops’ for BBC 1 Wales following the Police rural crime team on the job for a month as they solved crime throughout the North Wales countryside. Started my own successful business as a sole trader under Crefft Media and achieved a steady year-on-year growth since establishing. I produce content for a wide variety of cross-sector clients including Natonal Trust, Magnox, Bangor University Menter Môn, Medrwn Môn, Arloesi Gwynedd Wledig, Anglesey Council, North Wales Regional Equality Network, TEDx Holyhead, CAIS, Change Step, Gwynedd Council, Learning Links International, Wildlife Trust, Welsh Government, Arts Council Wales and Visit Wales. Contracts involve using professional in-house equipment and software to film, direct, produce and edit complete broadcast-quality promotional, informational and case-study films. These videos have been at the heart of many social media campaigns, with videos often receiving thousands of views within a short period of time, receiving excellent feedback from the public and hailed for their level of entertainment, engagement, and high production value. I often provide creative input from the very beginning and help structure and provide advice on how to make the most of their film.
