About
Having worked across both Production and Development, from Science programmes to Factual Entertainment; pitching game shows to travelogues, I have gained a solid set of research skills.
To date, I have been working mainly as a Casting Researcher, finding all kinds of contributors, from poppy Millenials to married couples, to 3-generation families. I have also worked in more sensitive areas, speaking to people in recovery from addictive substances and sex workers, to those with a history of mental health issues, where I remain a professional but approachable at all times.
I am very organised and confident at phone-bashing; fact-checking, background checks, conducting zoom calls for casting tapes and can edit. I am also able to set up shoots, choosing Covid appropriate locations; working to deadlines and shifting schedules. I have also worked as a Development Researcher, so have strong writing skills and the ability to assist in storylines for productions.
In addition to my role as a researcher, I like to speak up as a young person of diverse background working in the industry. 2021 got of to a great start, when I was asked to speak on TRC media's live panel about getting into TV. I spoke alongside Muslim Alim, Commissioning Editor, BBC Daytime TV; Jo Street, Head of Daytime and Head of Glasgow Hub, Channel 4) and fellow rad Researcher, Chris Walker. Link to follow below, where you can also find links to other live events I have participated in.
I am currently working on several personal projects, learning to self-shoot. I love making content and know my way around editing software. I would also love to work abroad and offer my Spanish skills.
