About
Series Director & Industry Mentor
I’m an award-winning documentary filmmaker with over 20 years’ experience directing high-profile series for major broadcasters and platforms including BBC, Channel 4, ITV, Netflix, and AppleTV+. My work focuses on powerful real-life storytelling — from social documentaries to elite sport — and I’m especially interested in human behaviour, identity, resilience, and cultural depth.
My skillset blends cinematic visual storytelling with sharp editorial judgment, and I’m equally confident in vérité, structured narrative, and presenter-led formats. I thrive in challenging environments and have filmed all over the world with contributors from every walk of life — from street-level stories to Olympic athletes.
Alongside my directing work, I’m passionate about mentoring and talent development, having supported dozens of emerging filmmakers over the past decade. I bring a deep understanding of both the craft and business of documentary, a wide industry network, and a strong interest in new storytelling technologies — from AI and immersive media to innovative production workflows. I’m especially driven to support the next generation in finding meaningful pathways into the creative industries.
